Severn Arts is launching a new children’s music group for beginners at Prince Henry’s High School in Evesham on Thursday 21 September from 5 - 5.45pm.

The Lift Off! music group is being set up to give school-aged children from beginner up to grade 1 level the opportunity to come along and experience the fun of creating music with others.

Ian Hattersley, Severn Arts Music Lead said: “We are excited to be adding Evesham to our list of Lift Off! groups. The groups we set up last year have been really popular and having the opportunity to make music together is a wonderful experience for children. Our Lift Off! groups are informal and friendly and a fun way for everyone to be creative in a musical way. We really hope lots of children in and around Evesham will come and give the group a go.”

Lift Off! is free to take part in and no musical experience is needed, parents and carers just need to sign up their children beforehand and come with an instrument on the day.

Evesham Lift Off! follows the success of Lift Off! groups set up in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Malvern, and Worcester by Severn Arts last year, where over 60 children took part in sessions across the three school terms and an end of year performance.

Lift Off! sessions are delivered by Severn Arts teachers who are enhanced DBS checked and receive regular safeguarding training.

Anyone interested in coming along to any of the Lift Off! groups can sign up via the Severn Arts website https://www.severnarts.org.uk/lift-off
