Join us for a face-to-face interactive training session with music educationalist Sophie Gray on Tuesday 5 July 2022. The session will explore techniques, resources and developmental tools to help support non music specialists to use music with students who have additional needs.

This is a FREE event. Please bring along iPads, speakers and instruments to the session if you have them.

Places are limited so booking early is advised. Having booked if for any reason you are unable to make the session please email [email protected] to let us know so that we can offer your place to someone else.

This training session is being offered as part of Fair Play a partnership project Severn Arts is part of, working with Warwickshire and Gloucestershire Music Education Hubs to improve equality, diversity and inclusion practices in music education. Fair Play is funded by Youth Music.

About Sophie Gray

Sophie has been in music education for the past 18 years working primarily in special schools/alternative provision and with those with complex disabilities. Sophie is currently Head of Inclusion, and teacher at SFEMusic, and the link tutor on the PgCert in Sounds of Intent. She is also currently studying the MA in SPMLD at the University of Birmingham.

Sophie has always believed in the power of music for everyone at any age, from any background, but especially for those with the most complex disabilities.
