Make Music Day UK is a free celebration of music around the world. The event launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique and is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries on the summer solstice. On 21 June every year thousands of events take place across the globe in what becomes the world’s largest DIY music festival.

Severn Arts celebrated Make Music Day this year with the creation of a brand-new performance called 'In Our Reflections.' ‘In Our Reflections’ combines a wonderful score written by David Cowell and a spoken word poem by our Young Poet Laureate, Ellie Dart. The piece, which includes instrumental and vocal parts for all abilities, is performed by over 650 young people at school or living in Worcestershire.
