Severn Arts is inviting all Worcestershire landowners and businesses with outdoor spaces to host cultural events to get in touch and be part of their new online directory.

Severn Arts is working with Bromsgrove and Redditch, Malvern, Wychavon, Wyre Forest and Worcester City council teams to populate the ‘Open Spaces’ directory but is also keen to hear from local landowners with fields, gardens or any other outdoor event spaces. Entry into the directory is free.

The directory aims to list as many sites as possible across Worcestershire which are available to host professionally managed public outdoor events, from small community fetes to larger festivals. Once complete, organisers looking for an outdoor location for their event will be able to search the online directory for their perfect event site, filtering by district, size and type of space and the facilities offered.

Laura Worsfold, Severn Arts CEO said: Due to the uncertainty of post-lockdown scenarios, indoor entertainment may be more difficult to access for quite some time, but we are really hoping that it will be different for outdoor events this summer and going forward. We see the creation of the Open Spaces Directory for Worcestershire as one way in which we can support event organisers. Helping them, when it is safe to do so, to start to bring back small Covid-secure events and cultural activities in a physical way across the county.

Anyone wishing to submit a listing to the Open Spaces Directory can do so using the Severn Arts online form or by contacting [email protected]
