Severn Arts and Worcestershire Music Education Hub are inviting Worcestershire musicians and small music organisations to apply for a new grant launched this week.

Recognising that this is a particularly difficult time for Worcestershire’s freelance musicians and small music organisations Severn Arts and Worcestershire Music Education Hub are inviting applications for a grant of £300 per musician/small music organisation to create a piece of work for schools that can be shared digitally. The work can be in any style, must be a new idea and focus on the theme #KeepMakingMusic.

Anyone wishing to apply for a grant just needs to email Debbie Fawcett (Director of Learning, Severn Arts) [email protected] with an outline of your idea and how you would share it digitally with schools. Please include #KeepMakingMusic in your subject line.

The idea behind this new grant funding is to create a body of work that can go out over this immediate emergency period and help to maintain the profile of music with our school communities.

The deadline for submissions is 9am on Wednesday 22 April. We would like to see projects delivered by the end of May.

Please note this funding is only open to artists and organisations that live and work in Worcestershire.
