Two boys back to back playing trumpets

We want as many Worcestershire children as possible to benefit from taking part in musical activity. This is why we are building a bursary fund for families who can’t afford the full cost of music lessons and instrument hire.

Affordability is the biggest barrier – if this is overcome then more children will certainly learn to play a musical instrument.

Our target is to raise £25,000 by the end of March 2021. We have made a great start with some generous contributions.  £25,000 would mean 30 children could be supported for five years of music lessons or 150 children for a year!

We’ve called the campaign Music Grows because it does!  Music grows children’s confidence and their social networks.  It improves academic achievement, nurtures creativity and develops problem solving skills.  Our bursary scheme will help children who might otherwise miss out.

You can also add to our bursary by shopping online through Easyfundraising and taking part in the Worcester Community Lottery.
