An online event hosted by Worcestershire Cultural Education Partnership (WCEP).

On Tuesday 6 July 2021, 5 – 7.30pm, Worcestershire Cultural Education Partnership will be hosting Creativity Exchange, an online event bringing together creatives and teachers to discuss how we can revitalise and reenergise the curriculum. The creatives and organisations taking part include Vamos Theatre, Dancefest, Museums Worcestershire, Translucent Dance Company, Perfect Circle Theatre, Meadow Arts, White Sock Theatre, Worcester Live, C&T and University of Gloucester.

As part of this event, we will be showcasing two new commissions from Worcestershire’s young artists that demonstrate the positive impact of participating in arts and culture throughout education.

The opportunity

Severn Arts is looking for two young artists, aged 18 – 25, to create new work in any artform that demonstrates how arts within education has positively impacted your life. This work must:

  • be suitable to showcase online, as part of a Zoom event
  • last no longer than 5 minutes
  • demonstrate the advantages and longer term benefits of participating in arts and culture as part of your education

The fee is £250 per commission.

We hope to showcase the talent from the diverse communities within Worcestershire including, but not limited to, artists from low socio-economic backgrounds, disabled artists and people from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
