Ensembles to Perform at the Hive Lantern Parade

Thursday 7th December, 17.30pm, Cathedral Square, Worcester.

Worcestershire Youth Wind Orchestra and the Intermediate Wind Orchestra have been invited to perform in Cathedral Square as part of the Hive’s annual lantern parade. This will be the 5th year The Hive has organised the parade. On the weeks leading up to the event, the Hive run lantern making workshops with local primary schools. Participants are encouraged to bring along their lanterns and take part in the parade from Worcester City Centre via Crowngate to the Hive. Everyone is then invited into the Hive for carols and refreshments. It is a lovely evening with around 50 children taking part.
Rehearsal: Saturday, 2nd December 2017, 10.00am -12.30pm at Nunnery Wood High School (room number TBC)

Date: Thursday, 7th December 2017

Arrival: 17.00pm – 17.15pm at Cathedral Square, exact meeting point TBC closer to the date.

Performance: 17.30pm – 18.00pm

In case of inclement weather, the indoor area at Cathedral Square – either on the ground floor or up on the mezzanine – will be available for the concert. In the case of heavy rain the lantern parade will be cancelled.
