This year’s FAME Festival will be held at the University of Worcester Arena, Hylton Road, Worcester WR2 5JN, on Tuesday 9th July 2019. The festival is a celebration of the work and achievements made by pupils as part of the First Access Music Education project and is open to any school that has taken part in FAME or any other whole class or large group instrumental activity (a minimum of 4 players)  during the 2018-19 academic year. As last year, the event will also be open to schools from Herefordshire and Gloucestershire that have taken part in similar whole class or large group activities.

There will be two performances:

    • 10.30am to 11.30am – Strings and Ukulele
    • 1.30pm to 2.30pm – Brass and Woodwind

If your school would like to take part, your FAME/whole class/ large groups will need to prepare a selection of pieces for the event (to be confirmed shortly) to be performed as one large group with the other schools/performers. These will need to be learned from memory. Parents are also invited to attend the festival.

The cost of attending is going to stay £2 per child. Charges will be made to each school in advance of the event based upon the number of children detailed on the application form.

Please Note:

There are limited spaces for schools to take part and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The deadline for applying is Friday 12th April 2019.
