Support Severn Arts crowdfunding Travelling Music Box project

Our crowdfunding campaign is now live! We are raising funds to create a unique Travelling Music Box for children and young people in Worcestershire.

Making music transforms lives – but only when people know where to find it! Our plan is to tour the Travelling Music Box, filled with musical instruments, recording equipment and tailored musical experiences, around Worcestershire, taking it to young people in schools, playgrounds, skate parks, hospitals and more, but especially to those young people who would not normally have access to such great musical experiences.

The Travelling Music Box will provide lots of opportunities such as ukulele jams, performing and recording of favourite songs, being a DJ for the day, being part of a samba band, or even playing junk percussion!

Make your pledge today and help us reach our goal of £3,600 and 21 backers and unlock nearly half of the funding we need from the Arts Council to make our project happen.

Anyone pledging over £250 will be able to book the Travelling Music Box for free to take part in a public event of their choice and five lucky pledgers, picked at random, will win a visit from the Travelling Music Box to a public venue or event of their choice.

Donate to the Severn Arts bursary scheme

Evidence shows that music engagement can positively influence academic achievement, increase confidence, nurture creativity and help develop problem solving skills. Severn Arts wants as many Worcestershire children as possible to benefit from this engagement, and in particular to help children who might miss out because they can’t afford to pay the tuition fees to take part.

This is why we are building a bursary fund, MusicGrows, and inviting contributions of any size so that we can reduce the cost of lessons and instrument hire for families who can’t afford them. By raising £10,000 Severn Arts can provide bursary supported lessons for 60 children for a year.
