Music in Education Masters Degree

An exciting new course at the University of Worcester

By: Andrew Bright | HUB Partners, Music Education | January 6, 2017

This September our Hub partners at the University of Worcester will be launching an exciting new Masters Degree in a ground-breaking collaboration with Severn Arts.

The new Music Education MMus is a four year Integrated Masters degree which combines a passion for studying Music and Education. Developing skills in musicianship together with an exploration of teaching and learning in education will prepare students for a wide range of careers.

As part of the course, students will undertake a placement with the Severn Arts team, shadowing our staff in all areas of the service, from whole class project work to conducting and arranging music for our county-level youth orchestras. This collaboration between a university and a music service is the first of its kind in the UK.
