After your child has been playing their instrument for a while, the best way to enhance their learning and enjoyment is for them to experience group music making. Severn Arts runs a wide range of orchestras, bands and ensembles to take your child from beginner to virtuoso!

Music Centre Ensembles

We run a range of ensembles at our four Music Centres, aimed at pupils who are around Grade 1 standard up to Grade 3. Membership is billed termly. The term in which you join is free of charge!

To apply for membership, please complete a Music Centre Ensemble Application Form. Please note that, for safeguarding and insurance purposes, forms must be received at our offices before your child can attend.

 

Severn Rocks

Severn Rocks runs sessions in Redditch and Evesham, offering young rock and pop musicians a place to meet, jam and form bands. Guided and supported by our skilled Severn Arts Team, students learn, write and perform music across a range of genres. All playing abilities are welcome.

Membership is billed termly. The term in which you join is free of charge!

Intermediate Level Ensembles

Members are expected to be Grade 4 or above (or the equivalent standard, without having taken grade exams). Entry to Intermediate Orchestras is by application (no audition required).

Youth Level Ensembles

This is our highest level, and members are expected to be Grade 6 or above (or the equivalent standard). These groups represent Worcestershire nationally and internationally at competitions, festivals and tours. Entry to Youth Level ensembles is by audition in the Summer Term.

Subscriptions

In order to achieve stability in our County ensembles, membership must be considered as annual, with subscriptions paid in three equal instalments.

Assistance is available for Music Centre and County ensembles where there is financial hardship and full remission of the subscription will be provided for pupils receiving free school meals.
