Our Studio Sessions aim to give young people, aged 8–21 years, the chance to learn how to record and produce their own music, using state-of-the-art drum machines, synthesizers, midi instruments and Logic Pro software. They will work alongside Severn Arts' teachers - who specialise in production and development - as well as industry professionals.
Studio Sessions are grouped into nine-week course blocks and take place in Worcester on a Saturday morning. We run one session, split into two age groups, 8-12 years and 13-21 years, so everyone can enjoy an experience designed just for them. Each session is limited to a maximum of 14 students between two teachers. Groups spend half their time planning and developing work in the rehearsal room and half their time on the Music Box bus with the recording and producing technology.
