Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to support your local events whilst also gaining new experience and benefitting from training sessions, all of which can improve your productivity, employability and earnings potential.

“Happiness boost - I couldn't stop smiling the whole evening seeing how much everyone was enjoying it.”

Light Night Worcester festival volunteer

Festival volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers to help bring our festivals to life. Volunteers make festivals – they are an integral part of ensuring events run smoothly and that audiences, artists and stakeholders have a fantastic experience.

Why Volunteer?

There are many reasons to volunteer with the Festivals team, it could be because

  • you want to meet like minded people and enjoy the social aspect
  • you want to be an integral part of something exciting for Worcester
  • you are passionate about your city and want to be an ambassador for Worcester
  • you are interested in learning about how arts and cultural events come together
  • or simply because you enjoy trying something new!

We are looking for enthusiastic and approachable volunteers, eager to get stuck in with every element of staging unforgettable events. No experience is necessary, we just ask that you are over 18, energetic, and enjoy meeting and helping others.

Every day will be different – it’s why we love festivals so much. Your volunteering tasks might include helping our marketing team with feedback collection, dressing the festival site, meeting and greeting artists, helping guide audiences at events and providing information at our information points.
