When and where?
29 and 30 October 2025, 6-9pm, in Worcester City Centre.
Do I need to book or buy a ticket?
Bridges of Light is a free event with no booking or tickets required. Please be aware that some of our indoor events are expected to be particularly busy and may require you to queue, so please allow enough time to do so. When this is the case, we will try to give an estimation of the waiting time. Please be aware that queues may close prematurely in instances where wait times exceed opening times.
Where can I find information on the night?
  • You can download a programme from our website.
  • Printed maps will be available prior to the event at the Tourist Information Centre, and on both nights you can grab a copy from the information stand located by The Hive.
  • There will also be maps and signage around the city.
  • You can ask our volunteers who will be out and about throughout the event.
  • We will post updates on @SevernArts social media accounts throughout the night.
When can I see Cygnet Song?
Cygnet Song will be playing from 6 – 9pm on both nights of the festival. The installation is eight minutes long and is on a continuous loop so there will be plenty of opportunities to see this artwork across both evenings.
Where do I need to stand to see Cygnet Song?
Cygnet Song projection and accompanying soundscape is best experienced from one of two viewing points:

Viewing point one:
Next to Brown's at the Quay, at the bottom of Quay Street
Viewing point two: Further down Severn Way next to the steps leading to Copenhagen Street Car Park

Please note the artwork cannot be seen if you are standing on the bridge.
The viewing points for this installation are on Severn Way and not on the opposite side of the river (i.e. Worcestershire County Cricket Club side).

Will there be filming and photography at the event?

Official Bridges of Light photographers and videographers will be taking photographs and filming the event on both nights for marketing and publicity purposes. If you don’t wish to be filmed or photographed, then let us know and we will endeavour to make sure that you are not in any of the photos.

As Bridges of Light takes place in public spaces, we cannot control other people taking images of events on phones or cameras. We ask that if you are taking images at the event and posting them on social media that you are mindful of other people’s privacy, especially children and young people who are not part of your group.
