Music has always been a central point around which my life has revolved - I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to be playing the violin! I began playing at age 5 and joined Severn Arts when I was around 11 years old. At first, I joined the Intermediate Orchestra and later worked my way up to the String Orchestra and Youth Orchestra - which I ended up leading! When I was 18, I moved to Cardiff to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and later to London to complete my Master’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music. All of these were really significant experiences and have certainly shaped my life into how it is today. Nowadays, I find myself freelancing with orchestras including the Welsh National Opera, English National Ballet, Ulster Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the European Union Chamber Orchestra, sometimes travelling around the world for some amazing concerts! Chamber music is also very special to me so in 2021, I established my own group, Elgar Ensemble, with whom I enjoy playing fantastic repertoire both in London and around Worcestershire - look out for our concerts at elgarensemble.com!
