Music Development Plan – Summary and Model Music Curriculum

Sue Walker (Encore’s Music Education Manager) will be leading an online training session for Music Coordinators, Classroom and Head Teachers and Heads of Music, as you start looking at Music Development Planning for this year and beyond.

In this session, we will look at writing a Music Development Plan for your school and will explore the summary template published by the DfE in the summer term 2024, which they expect you to publish on your school website.

Learn how to use Sparkyard for managing classroom behaviour, developing daily routines and creating a positive learning environment. This session will help you make a bank of music to signpost moments in the day, such as lining up and tidying up.

This workshop is suitable for all staff working in a school setting.

Primary Music Teachers Networking Meeting

An opportunity to meet up with colleagues and to share and discuss your ideas, successes and concerns. The focus of the session will be School Music Development Plans, and we invite you to share your plans with others should you wish to. The meeting will be led by Debbie Fawcett, Severn Arts Director of Music Education, who will also signpost you to Severn Arts resources and CPD opportunities coming up. Refreshments will be provided.
