Severn Arts is offering a free taster lesson in September to anyone aged 8 – 18 interested in learning to play the keyboard.

Under the instruction of professional music teacher Elliot Hinton, the one-hour taster lesson will give students a flavour of the well-established Yamaha keyboard teaching method through a range of fun activities.

Elliot Hinton, Severn Arts Yamaha keyboard teacher said: “Coming along to a taster lesson is the perfect way to decide whether or not you want to sign up to a course of lessons.  Just like our lessons, the taster lesson will show how much fun there is in learning to play a musical instrument and we hope will inspire those taking part to sign up on the day to our new Yamaha keyboard course.”

Laura Worsfold, Severn Arts CEO said: “We’re really excited about working in partnership with Yamaha to provide out of school keyboard tuition. The Yamaha Music School team are visiting some of our local schools to raise awareness of our free taster lessons and new course.  We’ve already had lots of expressions of interest so I would encourage anyone interested in joining us for a taster to book a place quickly!”

The taster lessons are being held from 10.30am - 1.30pm on Saturday 21 and 28 September and from 4.30 - 7.30pm on Wednesday 25 September.  The lessons will be in the Severn Arts teaching room, Malvern Gate, Worcester WR2 4BN. To book a place email [email protected] with the date(s) you can come along.  You can also call Severn Arts on 01905 947300.
