As one of the Mayor of Worcester Adrian Gregson’s chosen charities for the year, Severn Arts is being supported by the Mayor’s 10k run on Sunday 4 September. The Worcester 10k is part of Worcester City Runs and will take place at Worcester Racecourse. The Mayor will be joined by friends and colleagues, including Severn Arts’ Fundraising Manager Debbie Birch.

The money raised for Severn Arts will go towards our Music Awards Scheme, supporting more young people to develop their musical talents by making music lessons and instrument hire more affordable.

Debbie Birch, Severn Arts Fundraising Manager said: “I'm delighted to be running to raise money for the Mayor's chosen charities this year, one of which is Severn Arts. 10k will be a next step up for me but I'm keen to give it a go! Help us raise funds for our Awards Scheme, supporting young people whose families can't afford the full costs of musical learning.”

Severn Arts is one of two charities being supported by the Mayor during his year of office under the banner of "Arts and Health". The other charity is Onside, who provide support for those struggling with emotional and mental health issues.
