News and Impact News Summer Festival 2026 The Severn Arts Summer Festival returned to Worcester City center on Saturday 27 June, celebrating creativity and showcasing the talent of young performers from Worcestershire. Taking place across the Guildhall, Cathedral Square and St Andrews Church, the festival featured a day full of free live music and creative activities for all ages. Throughout the day audiences enjoyed a varied programme of performances from Severn Arts’ bands, orchestras and musicians, celebrating the hard work, dedication and musical excellence of each performer. Every performance filled the venues with incredible music. Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra’s final performance outside the Guildhall drew an enthusiastic crowd and brought the festival to a memorable close. Alongside performances, visitors were invited to explore their own creativity throughout the day. The Music Box gave people the opportunity to experiment with instruments and music technology, including electric guitars, a drum machine, DJ decks and a vocal booth while interactive workshops led by Stringcredibles and NYGE encouraged visitors to try something different and develop new skills.
