The Forge

The Forge is a programme of free, high quality creative activities for anyone aged 11 to 18 living, learning, or working in Worcestershire. It offers a variety of creative opportunities and invites young people to choose the artforms and projects that they would like to pursue together.  

Each Forge programme is delivered by a facilitator with guest practitioners offering specialist workshops which have been selected by participants. There are a range of artforms to choose from, including fashion, photography, illustration, ceramics, music, graffiti and more! Participants learn a variety of new skills and work as a collective to steer the direction of the project based on what interests them.  

There are four stages to The Forge, each a chance to work with creative professionals and explore, create, or present ideas in imaginative ways. These stages can be delivered individually, but taken together they provide young people with a pathway to develop their skills and interests, and eventually experience what it means to work as a professional artist.
