We would love more instrumental players to join our orchestras and bands and enjoy being part of a group who rehearse and perform together.

Young musicians who are playing at grade 4 and above can apply to join our Intermediate Orchestra. Our youth level bands and orchestras are for young musicians playing at grade 6 level and above (age limit 25). There are no auditions required. Come along to the first session FREE and give it a go!

"From a young age I was involved in Severn Arts ensembles which was a fantastic experience for me…I learnt so much from being part of these groups and there is no doubt that they contributed to my love for music and helped to lead me into a career in music." - Katie Hawcutt

In some circumstances it may be necessary to amalgamate bands, or orchestras to ensure that students have a full and diverse musical experience. Where a band or orchestra is not viable due to insufficient numbers, membership of an alternative band or orchestra will be offered.  This may mean that the rehearsal day/time of the new band or orchestra will be different to the original band or orchestra requested.
