Did you know about Severn Arts' music groups, bands and orchestras? We are really keen to have new members join us to play some amazing music together! Let me tell you all about the different opportunities we have here at Severn Arts. 

Lift Off! 

For beginners, we have Lift Off! groups which are informal, fun and FREE, providing an opportunity for school-aged children from beginner (able to play three notes or more) up to Grade 1 level, to come along and have a go at creating music with others. 

We run groups in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Malvern, and right here in our Severn Arts office, based in Worcester. We also have a brand-new Lift Off! group in Evesham! 

Music centre groups 

For those playing up to a Grade 3 level, we have our music centre groups. Aimed at competent beginners, our FREE music centre groups support individuals playing up to Grade 3 level, aged 7 and upwards. 

Like our Lift Off! groups, our music centre groups run in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Malvern, and right here in our Severn Arts office, based in Worcester. 

Worcestershire Intermediate Orchestra 

Following on from our music centre groups, Worcestershire Intermediate Orchestra is a wonderful opportunity for young musicians to gain experience playing in a larger group, with a greater range of instruments and more performance opportunities.   

Young musicians playing at Grade 3 level and above can apply to join our Intermediate Orchestra, no audition necessary. Come along to the first taster session for free and give it a go before signing up. 

Membership is £150.00 for the year or £50.00 per term, payable at the start of each term, or at the point of joining, if that is later. 

Youth bands and orchestras 

Our youth bands and orchestras are for young musicians up to 25 years old playing at Grade 5 level and above. Like our intermediate group, no auditions are required, and we offer the first taster session for free so you can give it a go before signing up. 

Membership is £150.00 for the year or £50.00 per term, payable at the start of each term, or at the point of joining, if that is later.
