#SpringsCalling is an online event celebrating the Spring Equinox, new beginnings and hope a year after direct access to audiences was disrupted.
#SpringsCalling, led by the West Midlands Culture Response Unit (WMCRU) will feature 3-5 minute-long audio based artworks of spoken word, podcasts, music and singing from artists across the region. Coinciding with the Spring Equinox on Saturday 20 March, the event focusses on nature, spring, outdoors, reflection, restarting and growth; as the cultural sector looks ahead to returning to live events, re-opening venues and welcoming back audiences.
Work, soon to be featured here, has been commissioned by Severn Arts and Worcestershire County Council working in partnership with Autin Dance Theatre. Contributions from across the region can be seen on Culture Central's website.
